DINNER RECIPE:
Beef Wontons

These little guys take some work to put together, but are totally worth it because they turned out delicious! My husband said he could have eaten a lot more of these if they were available.

Makes: 50 wontons
Cook Time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon veggie oil
¼ of a green bell pepper, diced
3-4 green onion sprigs, chopped
½ pound ground beef
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2-3 teaspoons sesame oil
Wonton wrappers

Directions:

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the peppers and cook until soft, about 4 to 5 minutes.
Add the beef and green onion to the pan and cook until beef is browned and onions are tender, about 4 to 5 minutes.

Add the garlic, onion powder, soy sauce, and sesame oil and mix all together, then cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until garlic is aromatic.

Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.

Assemble the wontons according to the package instructions. Place filled wontons on baking sheet and spray the tops with cooking spray.

Bake at 425° for 8 minutes, flipping the wontons half way through cooking.
