Homemade Item: RED ROCK DRY MEAT RUB



I adapted this recipe from one I found at a great website, The Yummy Life. My husband is from Moab Ut and the color of this rub reminds me of the red rocks down in southern Utah. You are going to love it on any type of meat, it is fantabulous!

Start with a large bowl, and then add the following:


 Brown Sugar

Salt

Smoked Paprika
 

Black Pepper
 
Chili Powder
 

Celery Seed
 

Garlic Powder
 

Dried Sage
 

Onion Powder
 

Allspice
 

Cumin

Dried Cloves
 

Cayenne Pepper
 

Whisk all together and  . . .
 

TaDa!!! Red Rock Rub


Ingredients:

1/2 cup Brown Sugar
¼ cup Salt
¼ cup Smoked Paprika
2 Tablespoons Black Pepper
2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
1 Tablespoon Celery Seed
1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
1 Tablespoon dried Sage
2 Teaspoons Onion Powder
1 Teaspoon All Spice
1 Teaspoon Cumin
¼ Teaspoon Dried Cloves
¼ Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

Directions:

Mix all together and store in an air tight container.
