DINNER RECIPE:
Shepherd’s Pie


This recipe takes a while to cook, but you can make the first half in the morning or the night before and then just pop it in the oven when you are ready for dinner. This tasty comfort meal will leave plenty for leftovers that taste just as great reheated for lunch.

Makes: 4 – 6 servings
Cook Time: 1 ½ hours
Ingredients:

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
½ log of Sage flavored sausage
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup frozen vegetables
2 cups mashed potatoes

Directions:

In a pre-warmed skillet heat the oil. When the oil is warm, add the vegetables and cook until tender.

Add the sausage to the skillet and cook until browned. Add the soup to the skillet and mix thoroughly.

Pour the sausage mixture into a baking dish then cover with the mashed potatoes.

If you are planning to finish baking this meal later, this is where you can stop. Cover the baking dish and refrigerate until ready to finish baking.

Bake at 350° for 60 minutes, or until warmed all the way through.
