DINNER RECIPE:
Ham and Potato Casserole
When the weather starts to get cold I head straight toward comfort food. To me, nothing
says comfort food more than cheesy potatoes and ham. This recipe could easily be put into a
slow cooker which would make it even easier.
Makes: 6
Cook Time: 2 to 3 hours
Ingredients:
2 cups cheddar cheese
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/4 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1 pound ham steak
5 small baking potatoes
Directions:
Dice the ham steak into bite sized pieces. Slice the potatoes scalloped style.
Mix the first 6 ingredients together in a bowl. Add the ham and potatoes and mix until everything is well covered with the sauce mixture.
Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until potatoes are tender, then bake uncovered for the last 15 minutes to give the top some crunch.
