Chillighetti
I just want to start by saying don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. This recipe comes from my Grandma.
I remember her making it for dinner when I would go to her house. What is great about this recipe is
it is so easy to hide vegetables in for your picky eaters. Also, the warm gooey texture is perfect
for a cold winter night.
Makes: 4 servings
Cook Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
Ingredients:
1 can Campbell’s brand canned Spaghetti (it has a special sauce flavor, that’s way it’s important to get Campbell’s)
1 can of your favorite Chilli
1 can of your favorite Chilli
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, plus a little for the top
Crushed Fritos or tortilla chips
Sour cream
Optional mix ins:
1 cooked sweet potato, mashed
Shredded Zucchini
Corn
Olives
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°.
Mix the can of spaghetti, the can of chilli, the cheese, and whatever mix-ins you want in a large bowl. Make sure everything is mixed well.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with the remaining cheese.
Bake covered for 45 minutes and then uncovered for 15 minutes.
Top with the crushed Fritos or tortilla chips and sour cream.
