DINNER RECIPE:
Tomato Soup

Nothing tastes better on a chilly fall night than grilled cheese and tomato soup. This recipe is quick and easy, but the speed does not sacrifice flavor.

Makes: 4 servings
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:

1 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic, and oregano
2 tablespoons tomato paste
½ cup milk
½ cup water
1 tablespoon flour

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a pot. Mix thoroughly to make sure all the ingredients are incorporated.

Bring the soup to a boil and then lower the heat to let it simmer. Simmer the soup until it thickens, 5 to 10 minutes.

If you don't like tomato chunks in your soup, just puree the soup before serving.

Serve with a hot grilled cheese sandwich or with crackers on the side.
